Guardian News delivered another catchy little article on writing the other day. Writers Helen Gordon and Travis Elborough are compiling a collection of their favorite writing thoughts. There’s the obvious and regular, some clever some fun, and then there’s this gem from F Scott Fitzgerald:
“It has become increasingly plain to me that the very excellent organisation of a long book or the finest perceptions and judgment in time of revision do not go well with liquor. A short story can be written on the bottle…”
